Wedding photography at Wortley Hall
I’ve known Charlie for a few years, she actually gave me my first commercial work when she ran the photographic department at a local magazine. So it was a real pleasure to photograph her wedding.
I started my day by meeting Stuart at home to get a few shots of the boys getting ready and was treated to a piece of pork pie that Stuart had picked up fresh from Coppice House Farm Shop that morning, it was still warm, delicious!
It was then over to Charlie’s parent’s house in Oughtibridge, literally 5 doors down from my old house, to get shots of the girls.
The wedding ceremony was in St Nicholas in High Bradfield, a church I have photographed a few times before. The church has fantastic views over the valley and looks lovely inside, perfect!
After a confetti shower Charlie and Stuart rode in a vintage Rolls to Wortley Hall for their reception. The amazing dining room had been decorated by Fran, Charlie’s sister who is part of Nobility Chair Covers, the room looked fantastic, the amazing table centres were all made by Stuart from old horseshoes (Stuart is a farrier).
Appart from the weather in the afternoon the day was lovely, everyone looked to have a great time and it really shows in the photographs.
One final mention, Charlie made the wedding rings and it was with the help of Victoria Kershaw – Silversmith who taught her that this was possible!
Here are a selection of my favourites from the day, friends and family can see the full gallery here, please ask Charlie or Stuart for the password.
