Anna & Jack’s fabulous Thorpeness Wedding

Anna & Jack (and Evie!) live in Buenos Aires so their wedding was organised over the phone/internet and with a great deal of help from friends and family. Thorpeness is just a couple of miles from Anna’s parents so made the perfect location.

I started my day at Anna’s parents house where Anna, the bridesmaids, parents and her two brothers were getting ready…busy! The atmosphere was great, a real buzz of excitement…and maybe mild panic from Pam (Anna’s mum!). Once Anna was in her dress I waited downstairs for her to come down and see her dad and the reaction was lovely. She looked stunning in her dress!

Because the locations were so close together I managed a quick visit to the pub to see Jack and a lot of the guests enjoying a quick drink before shooting of to the church. St. Andrew’s church is a beautiful little church, half a mile from the main road and it was packed! After the service rather than your usual recessional music it was The Beach Boys – Than I Kissed Her, brilliant!

From the church it was just a short drive to Thorpness Country Club for Champagne on the lawn overlooking the sea. After canapés I took the bridal party on to the beach for a few photographs and then spent a little time with Anna and Jack, making use of the fabulous setting.

The day was relaxed and a real pleasure to be involved in. One of the highlights was the bake off style cake competion. Guests had made and brought their cakes for Judging (and eating!) there was even a cake from Ros and Stuart (who’s wedding from Ufton Hall is the last one on the blog!) who had just got back from honeymoon the previous night!

Enjoy the photographs!
