Natalie & Jonathan had chosen the very picturesque St.Nicholas Church in High Bradfield to get married, the church is high on a hillside with panoramic views over the North Sheffield countryside.

Whirlowbrook Hall is always a great place to shoot, the House is set in beautiful landscaped gardens so there’s plenty of choice when it comes to backgrounds.

Here are a few of my favourites from the day;

The ceremony was at the fabulous York Minster, with an incredible choir, Jerusalem sent shivers down your spine! Champagne was then served in the Chapter House followed by the reception at Castle Howard. Just driving towards Castle Howard is breathtaking, it has to be one of the finest Stately homes in the UK.

This was a really local wedding for me, St.Mary’s church is just opposite my studio and Anna was getting ready half a mile away!

Anna’s choice of transport to get to the church was a horse and carriage, luckily the rain held off! Anna and Jonathan also left on the horse and carriage but changed to a fabulous Citroen DS to drive across the city.

At Whirlowbrook Hall there was a seaside theme which ran through the whole reception. There were beach games on the lawn, a candy floss stand and in the dining room they had place holders which were ‘Anna & Jonathan’ sticks of rock

Everyone seemed to have a great time and I even managed to get all the groups done…..between downpours!

Claire and Nathan had perfect weather so guests were able to enjoy the magnificent gardens. The day was extremely relaxed with everyone having a great time, which shows in the photo’s!

I set off early to meet the boy’s at Losehill House Hotel & Spa where Theo was staying the night before and where the reception was being held. I got a few shots of them getting ready and a couple of more formal shots in the garden overlooking Win Hill, what an amazing backdrop!

Louise and the girls were getting ready in The Hunting Tower, right in the heart of the Chatsworth estate, again with fantastic views over Derbyshire and Chatsworth. The wedding ceremony itself was close by at St.Peter’s church in Edensor village which is part of the Chatsworth estate.

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed chilled Champagne at the back of the church before taking a sightseeing coach ride to the hotel.

It was a beautiful day for everyone to enjoy the panoramic views and canapes on the lawn before the wedding breakfast.

I arrived at Amy’s house to the usual buzz of excitement, make up and hair was in full swing and after a quick chat with Amy I started with her dress and shoes. Amy’s dress was a beautiful Caroline Castigliano number and her shoes were Christian Louboutin made especially to match Amy’s dress.

The boy’s were having a drink up the road in The Devonshire Arms near the church and I caught up with them before they headed off to the church.

The weather held out all day so drinks and canopes were served on the lawn where there was a fantastic singer, Wayne Allen, to entertain the guests.

After the wedding breakfast the entertainment kicked off with Amy’s brother’s band, the first dance was then performed by Wayne who then did an hours set before my good friend Corey Mahoney took over accompanied by a saxophonist and percussionist.

All in all a fantastic day!

Claire & John were married at St.Wilfred’s church in Doncsater, where Claire’s parent’s were married almost exactly 34 years ago!

Claire wore a stunning Jenny Packham dress from Tickled Pink, this turned out to be a great choice with the hot weather.

After the ceremony the wedding party made the short drive down the road to the Fabulous Hodsock Priory where everyone enjoyed a cool drink in the gardens. The sun stayed out all day so we needed to find a little shade for some relaxed portraits of Claire & John. Luckily Hodsock has an almost unlimited choice of great locations!

It’s a bit cliched but I thought it looked perfect with the blue sky.

I met Lindsey a couple of hours before the ceremony to take the getting ready shots and details, shoes, dress and jewelry. Lindsey had a beautiful Ian Stuart dress from Blissful Daze just hanging perfectly!

I met Chris in the bar just before the ceremony and made use of the magnificent exterior of Thoresby Hall for some formal shots of the boys.

After the wedding breakfast the wedding party moved from the hotel to Thorseby Riding Hall for the evening entertainment.
