Hi, my name is James and I'm a photographer based in Yorkshire covering commisions all over the UK and further afield. I specialise in shooting relaxed documentry style weddings, fabulous portraits for families, businesses and magazines, stylish commercial work and sports editorial.

This blog follows both my professional and personal life. It features pictures from the amazing weddings I've shot through to the places I've been. It's a bit more informal than the main site and should hopefully give you an insight into who I am and what I'm about.

The Crucible Theatre

In December 2007 I photographed the final night of the final production, Amadeus, before the Crucible Theatre in Shefield closed for a major refurb.

This one got me a 'Highly Commended' in the Press & PR category of the Master Photographers Association Awards last year!

Final curtain call

So fast forward on to last week and the all the front of house is finished and I was asked to photograph the opening night, this was a staff and friends occasion to test the facilities. It was really nice to be there for the last and first nights! These are a few of the photo’s from the reception, foyer and bar. The shots from the auditorium will be in the press this week.
